(1) VITAMINS

Our daily meals for our children consist primarily of rice, meat vegetables. With a budget of RM400 a week we budget about US$20 a day to feed 60 children. No fruits is provided at this moment. Hence nutrition is an issue for us. Most of our kids are undernourished hence affecting their learning potential.

We seek help to supplement their intake with multi-vitamins .

(7) CHEST FREEZER

A chest freezer is need to help us store food items donated to us as our current fridge is unable to do so. It also helps us to explore donations from organizations that donate frozen items that are expiring.

Last but not least it allows us to purchase our food items on a weekly basis instead of on a daily basis which we currently do.

(3) SCHOOL UNIFORMS

Last year our students came to school in their home clothes. This year through a benefactor we got a set of 1 uniform per child. The wearing of uniforms puts every child on equal footing and has improved the school environment as a place of learning. Our students have also improved in terms of discipline.

We are now looking to provide a 2nd set per child for the 3rd / 4th semester of 2016 as the 1st set is beginning to wear off

(8) SUPPLEMENT INCOME PROGRAM "SIP"

Our staff earn on average about SGD 200 a month. Yet they continue with their services at our school as they believe that they are doing God's work of teaching and nuturing the future.

Help us increase their income by way of a monthly ration (eg food, clothing, toiletries and household items) that will allow them to continue their good work and survive with their day to day needs.

(4) SCHOOL SHOES

Most of our students aren't able to afford school shoes. Many still come to school in slippers and/or their only shoe for all occasions. For our monthly sports day, our children would go barefooted.

Hence we are now looking for a benefactor(s) to provide one school shoe per child for their daily school and sports needs

(6) CABINETS WITH GLASS DOORS

We would like to build a mini-library in our classroom.

Hence are looking for any old cabinets with glass doors that would allow us to showcase the books donated to us and yet lock them so that we can have the kids borrow them as part of our library system.

As these cabinets are rare to find, we have also scouted at IKEA MALAYSIA as a possible option.

(2) UTILITIES

Due to the construction and location of our school which is under a stretch of car workshops, we rely on air-conditions for air ventilation.

Unfortunately we are currently required to pay commercials rates for electricity amounting to RM 1,600 a month. This is our second most expensive item that we need help on.
